Valentine Mantle

What’s Black, White & Red ALL over?
Well if you guessed my Valentine Decor you were SO Right!!
Here is a a peek at the Family Room of our house all ready for Valentine’s Day!
Complete with POLKA DOTS (of course!) feathers, pom poms,
ruffles, and Β some chalk board art.
I had a LOT of fun putting all of this together!
It all started as I was packing up my Christmas Decorations a few weeks ago,
I made a point to leave out my Feather Wreaths.
{I love that I can use them to decorate for Christmas AND Valentines.}
But since I had 2 and 2 windows to cover, I KNEW they would be perfect in here!
This time, I took some red & white polka dot cardstock, and cut out 2 identical hearts.
and hung them using some fishing line!
Easy & Cheap!
Next up was the actual Mantle.
I went to my ribbon stash and pulled out a few strands of my favorite things.
Pom Poms, Feathery Boa, Lace, Baker’s Twine, Fluffly Yarn, and a Strand of Pearls?
OK, so the strand of pearls wasn’t in my stash, but a few packs of loose pearls were.
So I strung them up on a a few yards of fishing line.
If you ask me, All of it together= SWAG PERFECTION!
On the Actual Mantle, I took my Framed Chalkboard
that some of you may remember from Here:
(no I did NOT get it at Ikea)
And tried my hand at a little Chalkboard Art:
I had SO MUCH fun experimenting with how to perfect the lettering on this.
(but that may be a post for another day :0)
Last, I embellished the rest of the mantle with some decor I already had.
A simple framed Glitter heart, my Red Ikea Clock,
And, You may remember this Framed {Be Mine} Wreath from a few years ago.
Overall, this room {SCREAMS} my personality and I just LOVE it!
It’s a good thing Valentine’s Day is still close to a month a way so I have some time to enjoy it!
So tell me: Do you decorate for Valentines?
Or am I the only crazy one who LOVES to go overboard :0)
