Pumpkin Spice Mini Donuts

Today I am excited to share with you my FIRST
Pumpkin Recipe of the SEASON!!!
Some of you may remember that last Week, I shared these over at
 The Idea Room Fall Festival
If you haven’t been over there yet,
GO NOW!
There are So Many Fun, and Cute Fall Ideas that you will definitely want to check out!
I absolutely ADORE this time of year, especially
the Smells, the Colors, and of COURSE the FOOD!

Today I have a Delightful Fall Treat that not only tastes like fall,
but looks and smells like it too!
These little pumpkins, are plump and moist and are only made with
2 Ingredients!!!
*But you Will need to have a mini donut baking pan,
or a mini donut maker to make these little cuties!
That’s it!!!  No Oil, No Eggs!  Just 1 15 oz. can of Pumpkin, and 1 Spice Cake Mix.
To make the Batter for your Donuts, Simply combine in a medium Bowl
and mix with an electric Mixer until combined.
Once it is nice and creamy,
I Like to put all of the batter into a large ziploc bag.
This way I can, cut off one end, and  use it like a frosting bag
and simply “pipe” my batter into my donut maker
Cook for about 4-5 minutes and transfer to a cooling rack.
*if using a mini donut pan, bake at 325 degrees for about 8-10 minutes.
Once cooled, top with Orange Frosting, and insert a Mini Tootsie Roll as the stem.
To Make the Leaves I used a Wilton Sugar Sheet
And cut the leaves and curly “Q”  with a pair of kitchen scissors.
These are DELICIOUS, and Addicting! I betcha can’t eat just one!
Aren’t these the Cutest?
I am pretty sure this won’t be the only batch I make of these this year.
They are Too Good NOT TO!
Here is where I am sharing them this week!

Comments

  1. Is there a recipe for the frosting?

  2. These are adorable! So creative!

  3. Mimi, If you look at the second to last picture of this post, it shows a picture of the store bough glaze I used. I bought mine at Jo-Ann’s in their cake decorating section. However I have seen it at a few grocery stores as well. If you aren’t a fan of glaze, then Cream Cheese Frosting is super yummy too! You can find my Cream Cheese recipe here: http://www.thediaryofdaveswife.com/2011/10/cinnamon-rolls.html

  4. Hi Kristy! As soon as I saw the word ‘donuts’ (on SNAP) I had to head over here! ;) My hubby’s a donut monster and I think these look pretty dangerous. Thanks for the recipe (I think) LOL
