Today I have another Yummy Summertime Recipe to share!
With the weather as HOT as it is,
the last thing I want to do is cook something HOT in my kitchen.
I LOVE this salad because it is filling, and has the perfect combo of salty sweet.
I could eat this just by itself and be totally satisfied,
BUT, it is equally wonderful served as a side dish.
But what Makes it the BEST?
A lot of times you see this salad with Grapes or Sunflower seeds in it.
Only to find that the next day,
after its been refrigerated, the sunflower seeds are soft,
and the grapes have made the dressing extra runny…. yuck.
Honey Roasted Almonds.
They give the salad a little extra crunch, and don’t get soft!
Plus they add to the Salty Sweet of the whole salad.
And instead of using Grapes, substitute your favorite raisins or craisins.
I LOVE Golden Raisins. They are juicier than regular ones, without being overly sweet!
