It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s….

A Superman Birthday Party.
For My Super 3 Year Old.
Have I mentioned how MUCH he {Adores} Superman????
With lots of SUPER SWEETS!
Chocolate dipped Oreos Covered in Sprinkles
&
Soft Sugar Cookie Bars
This Year I asked the Birthday Boy what kind of cake he wanted. He had 2 Requests
1. Chocolate Cake
2. Superman
Here is what I created:
Quadruple Layer Chocolate Cake
Complete with a M&M Superman “S”
I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how much I stressed over this cake.
Making a cake that tastes good is one thing…
But Making a cake that looks good & tastes good too….
I was STRESSING.
But I guess it paid off!
I was THRILLED with how it came together.
{and the Birthday Boy LOVED it!}
Next up the Cupcakes…
I saw this darling idea for the Super Hero Pops floating around on Pinterest
So I changed them up a little and made Cupcake toppers Out of them.
And Every Party needs something fun to drink with too right?
I got some Fun Blue Stripe Straws from The TomKat Studio
And finished them off with the same Superman circles.
And slid them into clear cups that I customized as well.
And of Course I had to make some treat Bags…
Embellished with these Printables from One Charming Party

I also made some Printable Subway Art in Photoshop
( again inspired by one I found on Pinterest )
I put them in some cute Frames and made them a part of the back drop.
{Free Printable Versions of these will be coming soon!}
The actual back drop itself is a  piece of Red Felt that I hung over one of my windows
{I temporarily removed the curtains that hang here normally}
Then using some Blue & Yellow Card Stock I cut some Banner Pieces and using
some Elmers Glue Dots, I stuck them right to my curtain rod.
I then had the Photo of My Super Boy Enlarged at Costco
& I mounted it on a piece of yellow foam board to finish it off.

 Lastly, using some pre-cut foam stars I made this little garland to adorn the table.
I think it all turned out {SUPER} if you ask me…
But it was this Guy’s reaction that made it ALL worth it!

“I just Wuv it Mom, I JUST WUV ALL Of it!”

{to see how I made his costume go here}

Here is where I am linking up this week!

    Your ideas are great! However I have to say that is a ridiculous amount of sweets for a three year old birthday party.
