DIY Dry Erase {Calendar} & a Winner

The Winner of the U-Printing Giveaway is announced at the end of this post!!!!!
Since last Christmas, We have had an UGLY paper Calendar
taped, to the front of our refrigerator door.
It was UGLY and looked really Trashy.
It fell down A LOT and was REALLY annoying.
So, I finally just took it down, and we have been Calendar-less ever since.
Which might be even more annoying. . .
Cuz I had NO WAY of telling or remembering what day it was!
I finally took the time to remedy the “Situation”
I have seen SO MANY Ca-ute Dry Erase Calendars All over blog-land
and knew that was the route I wanted to go.
So I started with an 11×14 Picture frame and a little bit of Canvas from
{My Stash}
I pulled off the backing of the Frame
and covered it with the Canvas.
Then Using a ruler I drew
with Pencil, the boxes for the Calendar
Once I had my boxes Just Right
I erased any of my mistakes
And Traced over my lines with a Fine Tip Permanent Marker

And here is what it looked like when it was all done:

Next I embellished the top with a little Scrapbook Paper

And using my Silhouette I made some inter-changeable tags
For the Months of the Year

Next, I stuck the backing back into the frame and using a Dry Erase Marker
Drew in my Numbers.

It LOOKS SO GOOD on my Refrigerator Door!
Way better than the paper one!
And hopefully, I can start remembering what day it is a little better!

Here is where I am linking up this week!

  1. It looks so cute. How did you mount it? Does it moves when you open and close the door?

  2. So super cute, Kristy! Love it!! 🙂

  3. That’s adorable!

  4. Wow I really like this! We tried to use a store-bought dry erase board last year but it refused to stay on the fridge. I think strong magnets are in order. We’ve been using two separate paper calendars lately (one for him & one for me) but this looks like a cute idea that could possibly work for us. Yours looks very nice! I love the little pumpkin for the holiday, which I’m sure you made interchangeable as well, fun!

  5. Kristy! SO CUTE! Are these for sale in your Etsy shop? They should be- they are darling.

  6. This is DARLING! I’m working on a whole organization station at the back door and now have a cheesy, Target dry erase board calendar. I like yours so much better! Thank you for posting!

  7. Good morning!! You got a Saturday Shout Out over at Sassy Sites! Come on by and grab a button!! XOXO!

  8. I love it! That’s so cute!
